General Summary:

The Project Manager, Business Services position functions as a project manager for our team. He/she will implement a business solutions design and coordinate the project from start to finish.


Essential Job Functions:

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Visits customer site to determine cabling needs and is responsible for coordinating internal resources and vendors for the smooth execution of the project(s).
  • Sketches drawing of customer’s site showing wiring needs and instrument locations and develops a detailed project plan to monitor progress.
  • Develops a bill of materials and requisitions the needed materials and equipment to ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Ensures an adequate supply of business services equipment in our warehouses and adjusts supply levels as needed to reduce supply chain limitations and works in conjunction with the forecasts delivered by the Commercial Services Sales Team.
  • Coordinates the installation of business services to meet our customer’s expected delivery date, and ensures that project(s) are delivered on time and within the budget and scope.
  • Works together with directors, technicians, contractors and sales teams to mitigate risk to support and enable customer satisfaction.
  • Perform risk management analysis in order to minimize project risk.
  • Create and maintain project documentation.
  • Responsible for working together with the sales team to manage the relationship with customers and stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance using the appropriate tools and techniques.

Qualifications
:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications.
  • Must have knowledge of strategic planning and structured cabling.
  • Project management, Cisco certification or training is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials is desired.
  • Must be familiar with and have experience with low voltage wiring projects and NEC regulations.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Must be eligible and willing to obtain any required medical certification and/or license needed to operate a commercial vehicle.
  • Must be capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
  • May include some travel, including overnight stay.
