Primary Responsibilities
The Telecommunications/Security Specialist will be expected to complete a variety of project tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Design knowledge of either telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (Access Controls, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance).
- Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are met within the project design.
- Define and develop complete project related construction documents including drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs and other project related requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
- Position may include field investigations and/or construction related visits for projects.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and RCDD is preferred but not required.
- Position requires high verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Prefer proficiency with Revit 2016 or more current releases.
