Telecommunications Specialist II & III – Fire Alarms

Project Descriptions:

• Under the direction of a Project Engineer, you will function as a Design Team Leader performing:

Conduct field trips for survey and monitoring of projects
Provide CAD drafting and design drawings
Prepare contract documents such as design drawings, specifications, calculations and presentations
Coordinate with multiple design disciplines, such as mechanical, instrumentation & controls and system safety with outside agencies
Participate in field inspections and witness tests to ensure that contract requirements are being met

Education Qualification Requirements:

Must possess either a:

A. Bachelor’ s Degree, plus 24 semester credits in embedded systems, data telecommunications, networking and/or electronics.
B. Associate’ s Degree, plus 12 semester credits in embedded systems, data telecommunications, networking and/or electronics, plus four (4) years of telecommunications equipment installation experience.
C. High School Diploma, plus five (5) years of experience in embedded systems, data telecommunications, networking and/or electronics equipment installation.

Experience Requirements:

Prefer candidates with a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of telecommunications industry experience.
Possess proven record of providing design packages to incorporate client requirements for Fire Detection & Alarm systems.
Possess previous experience in the review of design, construction and commissioning of Fire Detection & Alarm systems.
Possess experience in managing multiple projects in different states of design and construction.
