Job Title: Telecommunications Specialist – Tyndall AFB
***Work Location: Panama City, FL***
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform inspection and testing of installation of underground fiber and copper communication utilities.
- Provide quality assurance of installation and oversee testing for validation of operations.
- Provide inspection of transmission plans, bandwidth usage and optimization, and network configurations.
- Review of installation, operation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Evaluate systems performance level and improve capabilities.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with underground fiber and copper communication utility installation, inspection, and testing.
- Experience with military construction and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) is preferred.
- Fiber Optic Association Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification or similar is preferred.
