Telecommunications Systems Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Reporting to the Director of Informatics and I.T. , The Telecom Systems Engineer is responsible for the security, design, performance of the network infrastructure, and the integration of all telecom services and devices. The Telecom Systems Engineer supports and maintains all in-house voice systems. This includes designing, installing, configuring, upgrading, diagnosing, repairing and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, PBX (VoIP & TDM) communication systems. Additional collaboration needed with other various IS teams where telecommunications integration is needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/License/Certification/Experience:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have three (3) years of experience working with IT / Telecommunications equipment.
• Degree in a computer science or telecommunications related field preferred or 3 years’ experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting cabling and wiring systems.
