Excellent opportunity for an experienced Telecommunications Technical Support Engineer to join an established and growing technology integrator in the Specialist Telecommunications space.
This company are a thriving global network solutions provider with glowing industry reputation, who work alongside high end clients such as Fujitsu, Network Rail, BT and UK Power.
In this role you will maintain internal team networks, deliver digital transformation programs that transition from legacy to new technology, fault find and manage tickets as well as train up more junior member of staff. This position is based in the Gloucester office where you will work within a tight knit team consisting of three other Telecommunications Support Engineer and three training apprentices.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of SDH/PDH or Cellular and Wireless based networking and have experience troubleshooting and using fault finding methodology to resolve tickets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable Telecommunications Specialist to hit the ground running in a reputable and established Global Network Solutions company providing technical training and progression in a fully autonomous and varied role.
The Role:
- Fault Finding and managing fault tickets from start to finish
- Customer/End User Support
- Maintaining internal team networks
- Training junior team members
- Tight-knit company culture
- A fully autonomous role, reporting directly to the Technical Director
The Person:
- Telecommunications Support or similar technical support experience
- Experience trouble shooting and managing the resolution life cycle.
- Knowledge of SDH, PDH and Cellular and Wireless Networking
- Familiarity with GPON
- Experience with at least one of the following systems would be beneficial: Linux, Solaris or Windows servers
