Telecommunications Technician

Necess-IT Inc. is a family owned and operated information technology (IT) installation and support company. We service many different businesses types ranging from medical facilities to retail establishments within Florida. We are seeking intrinsically motivated self-starters who are experienced, multi-facetted, low voltage technicians with a proven track record of delivering quality results effectively and efficiently. This position is a perminate, 40 hrs/week, and for immediate hire.

Technical Qualifications (including, but not limited to):

• Ability to pull, rout, and troubleshoot network cabling (e.g. Cat5 Cat6, & fiberoptic) in new construction and retrofit commercial environments.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot Analog and IP CCTV camera/DVR/NVR.
• Ability to terminate phone jacks, dressings, and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels).
• Ability to install point-of-sale (POS) units.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot computers.
• Ability to troubleshoot various other types of communications technologies.

Professional Qualifications:

• Analytical problem solver.
• Detail orientated and methodical.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation which can be used to transport a 6 ft ladder, tools, supplies, and equipment to job sites.
• Vehicle insurance (including a minimum of Standard Liability and Uninsured Motorist).
• A cell phone.
• Be willing and able to be on-call, work nights, and work weekends (as needed).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally, within the state of Florida, by car.
• Willingness and ability stay in hotels overnight for up to one week at a time when working on special projects.
• Possess your own set of basic tools.
• Ability to work in confined environments.
• Ability to work in environments without temperature control.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently.
• Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, scale ladders and work at heights in excess of 12 feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour
