Telecommunications Technician

LIM TECH SERVICE LTD is a telecommunication service contractor in Alberta. We are now hiring subcontractor Telecommunications Field Technicians to install & repair services for Business (SMB) customers in Edmonton. We are looking for people who are self-motivated, great communicators & proficient customer service skills.

Job Summary

• Install and repair Business (SMB) telecommunications services: Internet, TV, home phone and home security
• Calling customers to confirm appointments and arrival time.
• Can work outdoors in all seasons of the year and adverse weather conditions.
• Explain/discuss details regarding progress, issues, applicable charges, promote products and services to our customers.
• Meet job quality and standards as per company standard and meet metrics.
• Complete administrative responsibilities accurately and timely.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing ladders/poles, crawling in confined spaces, and working safely at heights (28 ft ladder). Ensure fall protection practices, procedures.
• Work on weekends and statutory holidays.
• 8-hour day shift.
• COVID-19 considerations: Have to be vaccinated.
• Willing to travel to other cities or provinces to provide services as per vendor request with extra pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in any of the following fields: Telecommunications & Smart Home Security / Electrical / IT / Network Systems / Sales / Customer Service; we will provide training if necessary (can take up to 4 to 6 weeks at subcontractor’s expense)
• Permanent Canadian residence/valid work visa status; must be in Canada and able to work legally.
• Driver’s license with good abstract
• Education: High School diploma or GED

Benefits

• Compensation based on piece rate: $60,000 – $90,000 / Year
• Job Type: Full Time Subcontractor (not employee)

Subcontractor Requirements

You are responsible for all expenses listed below:

• Company registration and setup
• White van/truck not more than 7 years old with ladder rack
• Vehicle expenses including maintenance, gas, registration & insurance
• WCB coverage and commercial liability insurance
• Purchase of required tools (payment plan is available)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
