Telecommunications Technician

Telecommunications Technician (TELUS Authorized)
As a TELUS subcontractor, we’re looking for contractor technicians to work as an installer for TELUS for their Future Friendly Home services.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Install/troubleshoot Internet/IPTV/Voice
• Terminate/troubleshoot copper and fiber plant
• Terminate low voltage wiring such as CAT5e/6, coax etc.
• Work with ladders (at heights often) and power tools (drills etc.)
• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain TELUS standards
• Sell/upsell TELUS products and services as a Solutions Advisor
• Keep track of inventory

Qualifications:

We’re looking for candidate that

• Must be in Canada and be able to work legally
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are tech-savvy
• Are able to lift ladders (about 300 lbs.)
• Have valid BC driver’s license and high school diploma
• Are able to pass a background check
• Are immunized against COVID-19
• Are able to work on weekends
• May have previous experience in telecom industry as this will be huge asset
• Sales experience is an asset

• Need to provide company documentation alongside WCB and liability insurance

• Be willing to buy own vehicle (7 years or newer) and have a ladder rack installed

• Need to buy own fiberglass ladders, PPE and tools
• You can choose to work 5 days or 6 days work schedule
• Uncapped sales commisions
• Bi-weekly pay

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,732.00-$100,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

• Commission pay

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekend availability
