Telecommunications Technician

Kituwah Services, LLC is an established and growing Federal Contractor, and has an immediate need for a Commercial Voice & Data Technicians to join our team. These technicians will be responsible for, but not limited to, pulling, terminating and testing different types of twisted pair, coaxial and fiber optical cabling, in addition to the installation of various types of pathway support structures and voice and data systems. We are looking for reliable technicians, attentive to detail, and self-motivated who are willing to do what it takes to get the job done and who are eager and willing to learn and grow in the voice and data trade.

Responsibilities

• Capable of identifying, pulling, labeling, terminating and testing category (cat5e, cat6) and fiber optic cable.
• Installing various types of pathway support structures (J-hooks, cable tray, and support rings)
• Able to read schematics and identify cable pathways.
• Coordinate with project manager and keep open line of communication on progress of project via daily logs, e-mails, phone calls, etc.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds, or at heights above 25 feet.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing Kituwah Services, LLC

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of technician installation experience.
• Able to pass a drug and background check.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record for the last 3 years required.
• Fusion splicing experience preferred.
• BICSI certified technicians preferred.
• Site surveys and bidding experience preferred.
