Take your ambitions to the next level
Our client is currently looking for a Telecommunications Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating telecom incident tickets at the level 2 technical support, mainly to support voice services (telephony). This is a team of expert technicians, second in line behind the call center. The position is not a call center position.

The Advanced Support team is composed of seven technicians and a team leader, and supports the following services: Internet over coaxial medium, FTTH fiber (EPON, GPON), dedicated fiber, VoIP, Wi-Fi, cloud solutions. The goal is to offer a “five star” service to each customer.

  • Take charge of incident tickets, investigate them and resolve the various cases;
  • Be in contact with customers during the resolution process to collect useful information, follow up with customers and ensure their satisfaction;
  • Analyze network sessions and call flows with Wireshark (or similar);
  • Work in a team environment, exchanging, sharing, and assisting when necessary;
  • Report progress, advice, and resolution plan to the team leader;
  • Work on system and network diagrams, technical specifications and technical documentation.

Does this sound like you?

  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with customers and internal staff;
  • Excellent understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, QoS, security, VLAN, SIP, RTP, and all other Internet protocols;
  • Good knowledge of network operation, management, and monitoring;
  • Ability to:
    • evolve in a complex technical context;
    • manage stress and ask for help when necessary.
  • Autonomous, organized, flexible, and open to learning;
  • Some knowledge of DOCSIS technologies, fiber optics, Wi-Fi, the cloud and cloud services would be appreciated;
  • Communication with teams in French and English. Level expected:
    • French: 4/4
    • English: 4/4
