My client has a direct hire (not contract) opportunity as a Telecom Tech for the deployment and upkeep of wireless internet systems. They are a nationally expanding ISP. This is a remote role with daily travel within the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania regions, which will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for configuring, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the company’s wireless network.
  • Perform construction activities for RAN wireless sites, including installation of wall & ballast mounts & masts, antennas, mounting hardware, fiber, DC, CAT6 connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimization of antennas and DC/ethernet lines.
  • Act as a project manager for small and large sites, leading the design process, reviewing design documents, and providing layout documentation to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Track, prioritize, and manage deployment activities and milestones from start to activation.
  • Perform tasks outside of regular working hours and address any new issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Field Maintenance team to ensure network performance and resolve service-impacting issues, including antenna alignments, DC plant upgrades, and MDU upgrades.
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety practices and conduct daily safety inspections on equipment before use.
  • Working hands-on work with regular rooftop activity

Requirements:

  • Experience with low voltage, coax, Cat 6, pulling and testing cables
  • Experience with pulling and splicing fiber
  • Project Manager type work in reading designs, understanding priorities of a build
  • Must possess a personal vehicle for traveling to job sites (with travel reimbursement provided).
  • Be able to participate in the company’s on-call roster.
  • Comfort with heights is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
