Telecommunications Technician

BUCCI 122 is looking for telecom professionals that have experience & dedication at the forefront of their work. Our projects span from corporate to industrial scopes and require high attention to detail at all levels. We are looking to hire personnel who have a sound understanding of installing data racks, data equipment, communication equip., structure cabling, and can present affluency with the civil work that parallels with these installations (tool knowledge, grounding, mounting/drilling through various building types, etc.).

The hourly rate depends on the qualifications & experience of the candidate. Our services span nationwide so the ability to travel is required. The projects we are looking to hire for have a vast array of contract lengths and opportunities to scale within our company.

As all personnel within have had true experience in the field we look to leverage that expertise by providing what we all wish we had in previous employment and incorporate that for our personnel. From the list below you’ll find we try to take as much pressure and expenses off our crews as possible so all you have to worry about is the work itself and looking out for each other. This to include:

• Hotel room that is clean, safe, and provides the comfort needed when being away from home. Hotels we book at are Hilton, Marriott, or Holiday Inn’s.
• Daily food per diem.
• All tools, vehicles, equipment needed for the job.
• Higher than avg. hourly wages.
• Covered traveling expenses to/from the job.

What we are looking for out of our personnel is to demonstrate their knowledge and handle our work for our customers with the utmost care and respect of any project at hand. To elaborate on what we are hiring for please see the following below.

Essential Skills:

• Experience pulling, dressing, and terminating a variety of different cable types: CAT5,6, LMR, fiber, etc. within existing and new construction sites.
• Can read, interpret, and apply blueprints in order to produce installation results & apply redlines as needed.
• Installation of data racks and ladder racking.
• Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and servicing connections of various brands of data equipment (i.e. firewalls, switches, routers, modems, CCTV, and wireless access points.).
• Experienced with hand tools (Standard drill, hammer drill, sockets & wrenches, punch down tool, crimp tool, cable tester, fiber tester etc.).
• Experienced in the installation of different communication types: cellular, VSat, Microwave. Fiber, etc.
• Can demonstrate confidence with electrical components of 12v, 24v, 48v, 110v and has adequate experience using a volt meter to test and measure readings.
• Responsible to assist final documentation/completion reports to be submitted as requested by Project Managers.
• Assist in growing technical workforce to support the installation and maintenance of various communication networks.
• Demonstrate an ability to work independently or with a variety of personnel to lead or be lead by others.
• Prove they will handle all company equipment, vehicles, and materials with respect and care so all fellow personnel can receive and use it as you did.

Preferred Abilities:

• Is either OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified.
• Understanding of working in an environment that requires PPE.

Required Qualifications:

• Has 3-4 years of experience installing data racks, data equipment, communication equip., structure cabling, and can present affluency with the civil work that parallels with these installations (tool knowledge, grounding, mounting/drilling through various building types, etc.).
• Has 1-2 years termination experience. (110 and 66 block).
• Strong installation and troubleshooting skills.
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to take and pass and continue to pass a drug screen and background check.

Education: Preferred, not required if background knowledge supersedes education background requirement.

Relevant Technical Degree or related technical certifications in Telecommunications, Construction; Trade school or Military background within industry.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
