Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Telecommunications Field Technician to join our team. As a Telecommunications Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, network systems, camera systems and cabling systems. You will work closely with our clients to ensure their telecommunications systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, network systems, camera systems and cabling (copper and fiber).
• Test and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment and cabling to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate progress to clients and management.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in telecommunications systems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Field Technician or a similar role.
• A degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or related field is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, network systems, camera systems and cabling.
• Experience with LAN’s, WAN’s, VLAN’s, SDWAN.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and to travel to different locations.

Pay: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Telecommunication: 2 years (Preferred)
• Cabling: 2 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
