Telecommunications Technician/Installer

TelcoDen is currently looking for a technician to install, repair and build telecommunications systems. Technicians work primarily with Coax and Fiber cable. Good customer service skills and the ability to work independently in an expeditious manner is required. Experience a plus but not required.

Want to be considered? You’ll need to:
– Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

– Possess a valid state driver’s license and dependable vehicle for work

– Lift and move up-to 80 lbs – some of our equipment is 50 – 80 pounds

– Weigh less than 275 lbs., required for ladder safety

– At times work in small, confined spaces or aloft (up to 28 ft.)

– Be available for overtime, emergency callouts and holiday work

– Identify wire and cable colors

Job Type: Contract (At Will)

Pay: $25 – $40 per hour depending on experience

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Potential for nights/ weekends < 25% of time
• Ability to travel in Texas 50-60% of time. For the first 90 days, position will be on the road.

Work Location:

• Headquarters is based in Austin, TX. Position will be on the road for the first 90 days completing battery checks and installations.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

• Hand tools: 3 years (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

• Driver’s License (Required)

Shift availability:

• 75% (Required)
