Telecommunications Technician / IT Infrastructure / IT Cable Installer

Responsible for pre-wiring, installing, programming, and maintenance of products and services ordered for structures under construction, prior to and after placement of walls/ceilings as well as existing structures for security systems, telephones, CCTV, intercom systems, phone & network jacks, speakers, antennas, and fiber optic cable, access control.

· Install, move, and modify telecommunications and related equipment, according to job order specifications, standards, and procedures.

· Install structured wiring for voice and data equipment.

· Terminate various low voltage wiring including RG-6, RG-59, cat3, cat5, cat6, fiber, and phone blocks

· Use wire-troubleshooting tools such as tracer/toner and continuity testers.

· Properly mount and terminate various equipment (network cabinets/racks, patch panels, fiber enclosures, etc.)

· Run service calls and documents, compiling client history and determine appropriate approach.

· Maintain and report accurate records of hours, materials used, and a detailed description of the work completed.

· Read product material for product knowledge advancement.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in hands on training

· Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records electronically

· Self-motivated, strong work ethic, can work independently with little supervision.

· _ Heavy National Travel is required_. Travel expenses paid + per diem

· Responsible for proper maintenance and cleanliness of work truck*

· Responsible for completing monthly inspections on work truck and reporting any issues that need to be checked and/or repaired**

· Responsible for assigned tools and resources owned by Service Plus and ensuring they are accounted for when leaving the job site

· Responsible for turning in any broken or damaged tools to management

· Responsible for certifications deemed necessary by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
