Telecommunications Technicians & Riggers

Pillar Telecom is hiring for all field level positions working on telecommunications structures, buildings, and a variety of wireless systems. The ideal candidate brings an energetic and positive attitude to the job and promotes an environment of continuous improvement and commitment to safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installation and termination of all types of transmission lines such as coaxial cable, DC power cables, fiber optics, and network cabling.
• Installation of Antenna’s, remote radio units, and all associated ancillary equipment to support tower and rooftop wireless deployments.
• Microwave antenna installation, orientation and alignment.
• Structured cabling and in-building system installations. (Distributed Antenna Systems -DAS)

Attributes and Ability:

• Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate autonomy in day to day tasks.
• Maintains a strong commitment to safety and working knowledge of standard industry safety procedures. Follow all documented policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers.
• Willing and able to climb communication towers and structures.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the work day.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Takes pride in company image, and quality of work.
• Ability to communicate complex challenges with clarity.
• Willing and able to travel within Canada.

Experience:

• General construction experience is required.
• All applicants hold a valid class 5 driver’s license and able to travel to and from the job site or office.
• All applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Salary: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
