Design and conduct work-related training and development programs to improve individual skills or organizational performance. May analyze organizational training needs or evaluate training effectiveness. The right candidate will possess a strong knowledge of OSP & ISP best practices, rules & regulations to train employees effectively.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, hands-on simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.

Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts, visual materials or on-site training activities.

Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts.

Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.

Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Training, coaching & developing others

Technical knowledge of OSP & ISP telecommunications infrastructure

Can problem solve & develop new training objectives and / or strategies

Strong documentation & interpersonal skills

Conduct surveys within organization for training needs

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time

Proficient with Microsoft and or Google Drive products

Can help manage and navigate computer based training software

Can help manage and navigate database user interface and query software

Can help manage and navigate office suite software & presentation softwares.

Must be able to articulate a training program for all levels of a job & possess strong reading & writing skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor’s Degree a plus or relevant experience
-
3-5 years (preferred) industry experience
-
Valid Driver’s license
WORKING CONDITIONS
-
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours including weekends
-
Working outdoors in all types of weather
-
Exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels
