General Summary:
The Process Standards & Training Specialist functions as a standards training facilitator for our team. Develops and trains technicians and staff on process and workforce standards. Develops the content, manages the program, and builds the metrics for a technician scorecard. He/she ensures uniformity across all territories as related to training. Supports quality control and technician recognition incentives.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develops written standard operation procedures for Field Operations for all work order types and step process to assure consistency and scalability of the operation.
- Assists with training needs and management recommendations.
- Supports quality control processes, to ensure consistent delivery of our service offerings.
- Utilize workforce management process tools to increase overall efficiency and productivity among employees.
- Applies Scorecards for measuring technician’s abilities, productivity and performance.
- Supports technician recognition incentives and programs, recognizing the top technician performance based on scorecards and other criteria.
- Recommends technician progression plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Computer Skills – Possesses solid operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Interpersonal Skills – Focuses on resolving conflict vs. blaming others, maintains confidentiality and is open to coaching and new ideas
- Communications – Strong written communications. Speaks clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, listens, gets clarification, and responds well to questions. Adept at composing professional business correspondence. Thrives in being able to be in front of technicians to train and explain processes and technical skill development.

- Job Knowledge – Experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
- Flexibility – Must be able to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with telecommunications installation/repair required.
- Standards writing/documentation experience is preferred.
- Training experience is preferred.
- Must be familiar with and have experience with operating a bucket truck.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- May be required to travel and stay overnight to work and train staff.
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain any required medical certification and/or license needed to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Must be capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
