Telecommunications / VoIP Specialist

Mandatory attributes:

• Must live in Suffolk County or within a reasonable commuting distance.

• Possesses 2+ years of VoIP telephone implementation experience.
• Must be able to work independently as well as on a team.
• Will be accountable for ensuring quality and the timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Able to identify, prioritize and mitigate risks and issues.
• Maintains alignment of deliverables and reviews with management decision makers;
• Assists in configuring new telephone accounts, arranging for moves and installations, data collection and inventory of County phone systems;
• Assists in troubleshooting and resolving user problems;
• Assists in reviewing trunk usage and routing options to assure proper routing and minimize call routing costs from various locations;
• Generates various reports as needed;
• Maintains inventory of telephone equipment and lines;

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The period of performance of this contract shall consist of a minimum of six (6) and up to twelve (12) months.

Additional Note

• “Candidates have experience working in the field installing phones “.

NOTE: Work will be performed from 9 AM – 5 PM Monday-Friday with some possibility for overtime on nights and weekends.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with VoIP or a UCaaS solution deployment (Ring Central UCaaS experience is a plus.)
Candidates should have experience in data collection for the purpose of quickly porting multiple locations from one vendor to another.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour

• UCaaS: 2 years (Preferred)

• data collection from multiple locations through vendors: 2 years (Preferred)
