Telephony Project Engineer

Call Box


The Telephony Project Engineer is responsible for owning and managing Call Box’s telephony partner integrations. This includes managing technical requirements, planning projects, and executing those projects. As a Telephony Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to accelerate critical project execution and adoption of our integrated telephony products. This role lives at the intersection of our voice platform, software development, product planning, and vendor management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud telephony solutions, Agile software development, technology partnership management, and cloud architecture. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with product development, sales, customer success, support, and technical leadership. You will be responsible for technical ownership and execution of key telephony integrations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Own and execute simultaneous projects utilizing engineering and project management best practices

· Provide technical expertise to identify, scope, and execute key project dependencies based on feedback from key stakeholders across the Call Box organization

· Work with internal stakeholders to collect and identify requirements, develop a plan, and communicate progress with leadership team

· Provide technical scope of work to meet business requirements

· Primary ownership of technical discussions with 3rd party partners

· Understand and communicate internal business needs and align those business needs with capabilities of desired vendor partnerships

· Ensures alignment of vendor technical direction to Call Box needs

· Generate and maintain technical documentation related to telephony partnerships and integrations

QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years owning and delivering telephony engineering projects in the telecommunications, technology, or IT-related field

· Knowledge of modern microservice architecture patterns and languages

· Preferred expertise in telephony, SIP, RESTful API best practices, and knowledge of hosted VoIP ecosystem and networking technologies

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Experience presenting technical topics to a non-technical audience

· Demonstrated hands-on technical and business problem-solving experience

· Proven success in technical project ownership for large customer-facing projects

· Demonstrated experience of developing and deploying enterprise software

· Proven ability to work with teams of professionals with diverse technical and business backgrounds

· Strong organizational and analytical skills that include the ability to respond to changing needs and shifting priorities while minimizing project impact

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
