Tower Climber

Council Rock is looking for a motivated, disciplined, and professional Tower Climber to join our team of telecommunications experts. We are looking for an individual that values hard-work, trust, and wants to be part of a team that values the same. This position would be part of a Tower Crew.

Location: Rochester, NY & Various Cities in New York State

Compensation: Salary and Benefits (Compensation is based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform installation, inspection, and maintenance services for wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures.

• Tower Climbers must understand and strictly adhere to safety and quality guidelines without deviation.
• Safely and efficiently complete repairs and upgrades at elevated heights.
• Observe and report possible material and equipment defects or hazards.
• Accurately follow instructions and complete assigned work.
• Troubleshoot, upgrade, and expand existing sites.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience as a Tower Technician
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read site installation documentation and build accordingly.
• Working knowledge of safety, construction, and quality assurance standards and regulations in the tower industry.
• Fall protection training.
• OSHA 30 Construction Training.
• Certified climber.
• Working knowledge and understanding of diagnostic test equipment (Sweep/Fiber/PIM testing, etc).
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Must be comfortable climbing and working at heights on towers, rooftops, water towers and other elevated structures.
