We are seeking a Cell Tower Foreman to join our close-knit team!

We are a SW Washington based contractor with a focus on cellular site construction and maintenance. This is one of the most diverse trades around and one of the most challenging. That is where you come in. The Tower Foreman must have an expert level of understanding with all aspects of the wireless industry. The person in this position will be expected to maintain full control of his/her crews’ production and lead by example. One will utilize the Tower Lead to develop and plan out the complete build of the site. This person will verify a high quality of deliverables and will identify change orders, possible obstacles, and safety concerns, which may prevent timely completion of site work.

Here’s a little of what being a Tower Foreman looks like:
- Read work orders, blueprints, plans, datasheets or site drawings to determine work to be done.
- Mobilize & prep tools and materials to remote locations.
- Tower stacking construction. Bolt equipment into place, using hand or power tools.
- Install and test appropriate power, ground, coaxial or OSP cables. (fiber and copper)
- Check antenna positioning to ensure specified azimuths or mechanical tilts and adjust as necessary.
- Replace existing antennas with new antennas as directed.
- Install all necessary transmission equipment components, including antennas or antenna mounts, surge arrestors, transmission lines, connectors, or tower-mounted amplifiers (TMAs). ISP. Microwave.
- Perform basic rigging, using haul & tag systems. Tie solid knots including the Figure eight, Prussic, Alpine butterfly and Water knot
- Test operation of tower transmission components, using sweep testing tools or software.
- Inspect completed work to ensure all hardware is tight, antennas are level, hangers are properly fastened, proper support is in place, or adequate weather proofing has been installed.
- Take site survey photos or photos of work performed, using digital cameras.
- Complete reports related to project status, progress, safety reporting or other work details, using computer software.
- Always conducts self safely, ensures a safe area for others, and completes required training, assessments and reports timely. Participates in THA or tailgate jobsite meetings and complies with client safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Current certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practical use of these guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and policies.
- Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products preferred.
- Experience in tower-rigging preferred.
- Knowledge of Anritsu and/or PIM testing preferred.
- Overnight travel most weekdays (Washington and Oregon State)
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understands fiscal responsibility through appropriate use of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Must pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, between 150 to 200 feet, for long periods of time
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 to 100 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes
- Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather

Pay: $23.00 – $33.00 per hour
