Position: Tower Foreman

MobileNet Services is seeking a Tower Foreman for the Southern California market to join an industry leader in wireless engineering. With over 20 years of unrivaled Wireless Engineering Services, MobileNet is expanding our offerings to include installation and construction. The ideal candidate must have a wide breadth of wireless projects experience. The ideal candidate would be proficient in DAS, Small Cell, Macro MODs builds, Power Plants and Low Voltage. Job Duties:
- Perform all aspects of cell tower antenna and line and antenna work as well as limited civil work including proper use of antenna alignment tools, installing RRUs and associated RF, fiber and power cabling.
- Ensures safety standards and requirements are adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area.
- Ensures tools and equipment are inspected daily and are operated safely. Sets a good example for the rest of the crew.
- Provides direction to the crew as required and ensures the team is completing tasks as assigned in a applicable timeframe.
- Responsible for quality of his/her crew’s work workmanship on communication sites as well as his/her work behavior.
- Responsible for all tools, equipment, and material issued.
- Responsibility includes the training of crew members.
- Responsible for all required paperwork project deliverables and sweeps.
- Follows all MobileNet/Direct Hire policies and practices.
- Ability to fill the position or replace someone for a short period of time. (One position below or
- above).
- Responsible for your physical ability to climb and work at an acceptable pace determined by management.
- A high level of professionalism must be portrayed at all times.
- Candidate must be a good communicator and effective in personal time management.
- Candidate must provide accurate and timely updates to the Construction Manager assigned.
- Travel to projects as required (West Coast Region).
Job Qualifications:
- Familiar with RF theory.
- Familiar with RF test gear and possesses the required skillset to adequately perform basic sweeps.
- Familiar with proper procedures and able to perform and inspect for all types of rigging operations.
- Familiar with basic electrical work.
- Familiar with basic computer related tasks. (Outlook (email), Word, Excel, search information on the internet, etc.).
- Ability to operate a capstan.
- Possesses basic civil work skills commonly used to build in-building telecommunications sites. (Pour concrete, carpentry, landscaping, heavy equipment operation, etc.).
- Ability to assist in the building of all types of communication sites (self-supporting, guyed, monopoles, and rooftops).
- Connector and RET certified.
- Familiar with the preparation of all types of required internal paperwork. (Schedules, daily reports, timesheets, etc.).
- Familiar with reading engineering drawings, Construction Drawings, RFDSs, sweeps, PIM and specifications.
- Ability to work at heights for extended periods of time.
- Basic first aid/CPR trained and certified.
- Ability to operate power tools and use hand tools that are required.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to work sites throughout the market.
- No DUI’s or major moving violations in the last 10 years and no more than 2 minor traffic violations in the last 3 years,
- Must complete background check and drug test.
- Minimum OSHA10 training.
- Speak and write fluently in English.
- Candidates must be legal residents or authorized to work in the US for any employer.
- Work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as required.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a Technical/ Professional area.
- Strong communications skills; verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of MS-Office & MS-Project.
- Demonstrate onsite strong leadership skills.
