The Tower Project Material Specialist position is responsible for supporting tower implementation in the execution of the optimal material supply and warehousing strategy as determined by the category manager, warehouse team and tower implementation. This includes all aspects of the material including vendor supply management, transportation management, warehouse performance management and material availability management either internally at Crown Warehouses or with our 3PL partners. The primary objective for this position is to ensure 100% material availability prior to start of construction.
This role does require all employees to be fully vaccinated.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops and utilizes material available management reporting process to ensure 100% material availability for tower projects
- Recommends and implements improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the end to end supply chain entities
- Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage and delivery of material to all entities with the supply chain and provides updates and assurances as needed to continue project needs
- Maintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving
- Provide assistance internally and externally for any invoice resolution needs for tower work as it relates to materials & warehousing
- Maintain and issue inventory reporting throughout the extended supply chain
- Drive continuous improvement activities in all supply chain entities
- Manage suppliers and service providers that support receiving, warehousing and shipping functions
- Perform annual/periodic pricing updates for tower suppliers
- Support tower quoting process with suppliers
