Tower Technician III ($5,000 Signing)

Position: Tower Technician III

Location: Irvine, CA

Travel Required: 20% mostly locally

Pay Rate: $29-$37/hr

Experience Level: 3 years +

MobileNet Services is seeking experienced Tower Technicians for the Southern California market to join an industry leader in wireless engineering. With over 20 years of unrivaled Wireless Engineering Services, MobileNet is expanding our offerings to include installation and construction. The ideal candidate must have a wide breadth of wireless projects experience macro, small cell and DAS infrastructure.

Job Duties:

• Performs transmission line and antenna systems installations.
• Troubleshooting, replacing and performing maintenance on 4G components.
• Run, terminate and dress-in coax, RF jumpers, hybrid cables, stand-alone fiber cables as well as installing TMA’s, connectors, weatherproofing etc.
• Perform antenna and path alignments.
• Knowledge of basic tower rigging techniques.
• Assists with testing procedures (sweeps, PIM, fiber testing etc.).
• Install, dress hybrid cables.
• Ability to troubleshoot fiber cable issues.
• Effective in troubleshooting power plants.
• Demonstrates skills in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Analyzes situations accurately and adopts an appropriate course of action.
• Effectively communicates both orally and written.
• Follows instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
• Performs duties in a safe manner.
• Works under close supervision.
• Maintains clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong communications skills; verbal and written.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
• Ability to lift over 70 pounds.

Specific qualifications include:

• Minimum 1-3 years of telecom tower climbing experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Valid Driver’s License / No DUI’s in last 7 years

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in a Technical/ Professional area.
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office & MS-Project.
• Demonstrate onsite strong leadership skills.
