Traveling Network Field Tech

Description:

A TEKsystems client is looking for a Network Field Technician for a 6+ month contract. This person will be traveling around the State of Mississippi working on cell sites. This person will need to have experience installing alarm points, running Cat5 or Fiber cable, and ability to self manage time. This person will be moving equipment from cabinet to cabinet and pulling and connecting cable.

Top Skills’ Details

• Cat5 and fiber optic cable
• AC/DC – checking DC power outputs, seeing how many amps they are drawing, and checking alarm points.
• Responsible for checking router locations, identify where it’s located, and checking whether or not they need to run new conduit or cat5 and document what is needed
• Understands basic routers, and verify where alarm points are within these boxes
