Two-Way Radio/Communication Technician

B.K. Two-Way Radio Ltd., a progressive wireless solutions provider has an immediate opening for a full-time Two-Way Radio Technician in our Prince George service shop.

Qualifications for this position include some type of formal electronics training, experience working on communication towers, experience in the telecommunications industry, a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, a willingness to work at heights and out of town for short periods.

This job can be physically demanding and as a result, candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds unassisted and have the ability to climb safely to height of up to 150 feet and work for periods of time. Communication is very important regarding safety, so to be considered for this position, applicants must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, in English.

The right person will be organized and adept at keeping good documentation and paperwork. Tool maintenance and working in a safe, responsible manner is essential. General housekeeping is required. As well as completing required safety inspection sheets, general shop duties and participating in travel, overtime, and on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities include; repairing and maintaining different types of electronic equipment, with an emphasis on radio communications, installing, testing and troubleshooting two-way communications equipment in customer vehicles, at the BK shop and on varied job sites. General knowledge of electronic test equipment.
