VTUL is a well-established locally owned private utility locating contractor founded in 1992 specializing in underground utility locating, water leak detection, ground penetrating radar, underground tank locating, camera pipe inspection, and power fault detection services throughout Vermont and beyond. We have provided utility locating services over the past 25+ years.

TCE, or Trudell Consulting Engineers, is a locally owned multi-disciplinary consulting firm with offices located in Williston and St. Albans, Vermont.

TCE specializes in site/civil engineering, environmental, landscape architecture, and land surveying, for a variety of clients in Vermont. Our clients span the public and private sectors and range from individual homeowner’s to large corporations.

TCE was founded in 1975 and has continued to evolve and adapt to the changing economy and challenges of an ever increasing complex regulatory world. We assist our clients with achieving their goal and developing successful projects from the initial concept through the final construction. As of May, 2022, TCE has joined forces and consolidated operations with Lamoureux & Dickinson Consulting Engineers, a leading Vermont civil engineering firm since 1985. TCE integrated VTUL operations in January 2023.

TCE, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm and includes Vermont Underground Locators (VTUL) as part of of our overall line of business. Our technicians spend their workdays on the go, working independently in the field using a company provided vehicle. The right candidate for this position will:

• Be responsible for the correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities including: telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Be adept at thoroughly searching for underground utilities in a designated area, properly marking the location, and completing the necessary paperwork and photographing each locate.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and using a company provided laptop and/or tablet to document services.
• Be experienced at working directly with customers and resolving problems in a professional manner.
• Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, safety conscious, and independent.
• Land surveying and/or mapping experience is a plus.

Position Type: Full-time position (part time also an option).

Monday-Friday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. work hours with some overtime work and/or occasional weekends.

2 years of experience in underground utility locating is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour
