MARS Solutions Group is looking for experienced Unified Communications Engineer for a client located in the Milwaukee area. Our client is a well-known and highly respected insurance financial organization seeking bright, tech-savvy talent. MUST BE ONSITE IN MILWAUKEE, WI

Job Title: Unified Communications Engineer

• Should have hands-on experience in configuration, integration, and development with VOIP Soft PBX Solution Vendors or similar.
• Accountabilities include analysis, design, development, implementations, and upgrades of infrastructure, software, and technology solutions.
• Assist with buy, rent, build decisions, designing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements with appropriate methodology. Also responsible for using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business needs to achieve strategic objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in design and implementation of telephony related products and services.
• Collaborate with other cross functional teams to scope and launch new services and features.
• Troubleshoot and debug VOIP integration and feature development issues.
• Optimize system performance and quality.
• Work with third party vendors to deliver and integrate solutions for the benefit of our customer base.
• Qualify and evaluate third party telephony products and solutions. Develop, maintain, and execute on disaster recovery / redundancy strategies.
• Establish and maintain best practices as it relates to compliance, security, privacy, and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Electrical Engineering and or Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of VOIP / Telecom relevant experience with software development, integration, and deployment of complete solutions.
• Experience with real-time communication that include voice, telephony (SBC’s), SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), QoS, DHCP and DNS.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Milwaukee, WI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Unified Communications Engineering: 6 years (Preferred)
• VoIP: 6 years (Preferred)
