Unified Communications Engineer – TS Clearance

Clearance: TS/SCI (or TS eligible for SCI)

This role requires an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Skype for business and the knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure with a focus on IP Telephony technologies from the major vendors.

Other key skillsets will be to possess a strong knowledge of Unified communication environments and experience integrating these tools into existing environment.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Operations Support.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Skype for Business (SFB) and/or Lync, Teams.
• Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge in SFB or Lync, Teams.
• Experience deploying Microsoft Skype for Business Federations, IM, Voice and Video.
• Experience in configuring, administration and troubleshooting Enterprise Voice on Lync / SFB including SIP Trunks.
• Experience in patch management of Lync/SFB environment and migrations.
• Experience in configuration and administration of SFB and Exchange UM dial plans.
• Experience on tools like Snooper, NetMon, Wireshark, CLS Logging etc.
• Experience creating technical documentation for training of end users and maintenance of the environment.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting skills and creating custom scripts will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of SFB/Lync troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SFB high availability, disaster recovery administration, and support.
• Knowledge of Active Directory concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, technologies, and its integration with SFB.
• Knowledge of dependent IP telephony devices such as Serviceable Branch Appliances.
• Knowledge of networking, firewall, and TCPIP port.

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft Skype / Teams Certification / Cisco
• Experience with O365

Education: Bachelors in a Technical Discipline – Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree (Desired not required)
