Select Medical is looking for a proactive, results-oriented, Unified Communications Manager to lead the Unified Communications (UC) team responsible for engineering and managing solutions in support of our UC infrastructure in Select Medical’s hospitals, clinics, and administrative locations across the country with a focus on Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) technologies. The UC engineering group assists in the design and support of the unified communication technologies to those locations.
Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for managing the UC engineering team in charge of maintenance, upgrades and ongoing optimizations of UC technologies in order to effectively support business initiatives and the new technologies required to support them. This team also focuses on using existing toolsets as well as evaluating others in order to improve Select Medical’s ability to proactively monitor its deployed technologies including outages, utilization, service degradations, and traffic analysis.
Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises the work of the Unified Communications team. Plans, schedules, and allocates work ensuring the timely completion of assigned projects.
- Ensures that the team resolve all UC, and carrier related issues escalated to them in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with the Information Services service level agreements.
- Coordinates with other groups to solve underlying data network issues that cause problems with unified communications.
- Is a key resource or focal point for coordinating and responding to major incidents related to unified communications technologies including communication of status on major incidents to appropriate IS and Operations teams.
- Ensures that the team coordinates the installation and support of communications equipment in hospitals, clinics and administrative locations for projects under their purview.
- Utilizes strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills to help staff drive projects and complete objectives.
- Participate in the strategic and operational budgeting process for all divisions on an annual basis as it relates to all unified communications technologies.
- Sets priorities along with coordinating and reporting the team’s activities and performance.
- Conducts annual performance evaluations for staff and makes recommendations for professional growth.
- Screens candidates for open staff positions and conduct interviews.
Occasional off-hour and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in Business Systems, Computer Science or Information Systems or other equivalent education or experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing telephony and unified communication teams.
- 5 years of experience managing enterprise SIP-based phone systems and interfacing with SIP-based telecommunication providers.
- 3 years of experience with call center technologies.
- Experience leading projects including architecture and design of new systems and technologies to solve business problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NICE InContact and AWS Connect is a plus
- Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Knowledge of firewalls/network segmentation products and processes is a plus.
- Experience with voice and data network monitoring and troubleshooting tools and technologies.
- Excellent documentation skills a plus.
- Prior healthcare environment experience is preferred.
- Strong dedication to quality customer service.
- Requires superior leadership, teamwork and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills a must.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
- Must possess a personal sense of urgency management style.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities.
Willingness to travel a must.
