What you will do

  • Designs and implements telecommunications and computer network architecture supporting USARPAC classified and unclassified data processing requirements
  • Install, operate, and maintain routers, switches, and encryption devices for a local area network
  • Install, operate, and maintain wide area network links
  • Assesses and mitigates network security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
  • Validates network system security requirements definition and analysis
  • Establishes network system security designs. Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures
  • Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities
  • Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Additional duties as assigned 

What we are looking for

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Must possess DoD approved IAT-II or IAT-III baseline certification
  • Must have experience with installing, operating, and maintaining voice over IP (VoIP) telephony
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance

Bonus points for…

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical discipline
  • Cisco networking certifications highly desired (e.g., CCNA (RS), CCNA-Voice, CCDA, CCNP (RST), CCNP Voice)
  • Experience with multiple workstation (e.g., Unix, Linux, Windows) and networking device operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS, Junos OS, Brocade Fabric OS) 
  • Experience with network security monitoring tools such as IDS, IPS, and firewalls 
  • Experience as a supervisor for management or technical teams 
  • Experience leading/supporting major IT projects providing IT services to remote sites 
  • Experience installing, operating, and maintaining video teleconference suites 
  • Understanding of mission requirements and network services
  • Experience implementing of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
