Voice Network Engineer

We are recruiting for a Voice Network Engineer to be responsible for the planning, design, configuration, implementation, testing and transition to steady state support of Infrastructure such as network, telecommunications, and network applications across the enterprise.

• Plan, design, configure, implement, test and transition to steady state support of Infrastructure such as network, telecommunications, and network applications
• Partner with peer engineering teams on best practices, process, standards, and configuration management
• Evaluate vendor supplied hardware, components, and software packages for fit and performance and makes recommendations to IT management.
• Modify and/or debug vendor supplied utilities and packages
• Maintain technical documentation for the network, telecommunication systems and network applications.
• Diagnose, isolate, and de-bug hardware and software problems and perform problem resolution.
• Deliver solutions that are stable, secure, scalable, and cost effective.

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of expert level experience in Infrastructure engineering role as it relates to the hardware and software components
• Strong experience in telecommunications and networking environments, security, and other technologies
• Strong experience with design, implementation, configuration, tuning and optimization of technologies
• Experience with Cisco Networking, VoIP, TDM Gateways, SIP, CUBEs, UC Platforms 10.X and up, CUCM, CUC, PCCE, Expressway, 3rd Party VoIP applications via GUI and CLI interfaces
• Cisco Networking & VoIP
• Network/Voice Cloud technologies

• Knowledge of OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP’s basic components,
• Knowledge of VLAN’s and Multi-layer switching, SIP, SCCP, TDM
• CCVP or CCNP Collaboration equivalent required
• ITIL Foundation certified (preferred)

Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
