Position Title: Web Developer (VN 082/2022)

Duty station: Manila (Global) Administrative Centre (MAC)

Job classification: General Staff/ G-5

Type of Appointment: Fixed term, One year with possibility of extension

Salary: Php 638,273.00 per annum net of taxes

CONTEXT

Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Digital Communications Officer/Senior Web Developer and the overall supervision of the Head of Online Communications Unit, and in close coordination with the Communications officer of the UN Network on Migration, the incumbent will be responsible to assist on the development to upgrade and support the technical maintenance of the UN Migration Network on Migration website, and participate as needed in OCU´s overall tasks to ensure an integrated approach.

CORE FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under the guidance of the senior web developer, support the development of code based on Drupal Best Practices.
• Under the guidance of the technical lead senior developer, help to write and keep up-to-date comprehensive documentation of Drupal platforms.
• Stay up to date with the latest best practices in the field of Drupal Development.
• Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience; or,
• Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with five years of strong relevant professional experience in Drupal development.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Drupal development.
• Knowledge of best practices in Drupal development and delivery, web front-end and back-end development tools and techniques and software security.
