Wireless Telecom Engineer – VoLTE / 5G / IMS E2E service testing / 5 yr exp

We are a leading consulting partner specializing in Technology, Strategy and IT Staffing Services.

You will perform services testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of services like Data, Voice, Video, Chat, SMS data, etc. using wireless devices in a production environment against 5G, 4G, LTE and IMS core infrastructure.

You need

· Define End-To-End test strategy and test plans with entry and exit criteria, focused on how 5G wireless customers interact and transact with Dish Wireless. Set priorities for test coverage, and identify a prioritized set of opportunities for automation, with a focus on execution and on-time delivery at quality

· Deeply engage with technical teams, to build out the End-To-End test suites needed across back end systems in the cloud, network and device provisioning, and over-the-air functionalities, including what is delivered by third parties

· Experience in Network validation of EPC / IMS call flows as per 3GPP specs for EPC signaling flows and IMS call flows for different services

· Understanding, identifying and troubleshooting call flows

· Troubleshooting and triaging to drive towards root cause identification and resolution

· Identify, articulate, and communicate the value of End-To-End testing in the Production network, substantiated by customer data and operational analytics

· Working experience in 5G, LTE, VoLTE, VoWIFI, IMS, EPC

· Protocol knowledge of SIP, DIAMETER, GTP, S1AP etc. and the signaling flows

· Packet Analysis for 5G & VoLTE network Protocols around Wireless domain of LTE (Packet Core) and IMS network Protocols & Interfaces using tracing tools to capture DIAMETER, GTP, SIP, other LTE-EPC & IMS Protocols

· Experience with NetScout, RADCOM, Wireshark tracing tools, Jira, Rally and HP ALM

· Good understanding of testing processes/methodologies and Test Tools

· Technical understanding of the wireless stack, the wireless carrier perspective, as well as wireless carrier network, back end systems, and devices

· Fluency in technical details of wireless software, cloud technologies, software and tools; proven experience with End-To-End testing and delivering tangible results; experience in test automation is preferred

· Deep knowledge and experience with End-To-End 5G and 4G wireless technologies and IT network architecture across the Core Network, Network Edge technologies, the RAN, transport systems, virtual and cloud environments, orchestration and OSS/BSS platforms

· Diverse experience in designing, developing and implementing test strategies, both for manual and automated test approaches, across a variety of platforms and applications

· Working knowledge in a cloud native-environment, with technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, KVM or EKS. Familiar with containers and relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker or Openshift

· Experience working with automation tools (e.g. Selenium, ReadyAPI) is preferred

· Knowledge of using tools, frameworks, and languages such as JavaScript, JMeter, Sauce Labs, GIT, MySQL, Dynatrace, RESTful web services, POSTMAN

· 7 years of experience in technical solutions design or architect roles, in a wireless or internet services environment

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Telecom Engineering, a similar discipline or equivalent experience

Pay: $40.00 – $85.00 per hour
