Responsibilities:

– Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who install, repair and maintain civil infrastructure, telecommunication systems and power systems.

– Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments or subcontractors

– Requisition materials and supplies

– Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity

– Train or arrange training of workers

– Ensure our health & safety rules and policies are being followed

– Prepare work reports such as daily site safety reports, trouble ticket reports, closeouts and daily site progress reports.

– Perform site maintenance activities and troubleshoot configuration problems.

– Work with NOC at implementing Fault management, Configuration Management and Performance Management tools.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year rigging experience in the telecommunication industry; climbing at heights of 100 meters (330 feet)

Proven understanding of and experience with telecommunications equipment, cables and hardware.

· Coax and Fiber testing, installation of RRUs and Antennas, Coax termination, DC powerlines, troubleshooting experience – Asset.

· Working knowledge in fall protection practice and procedures and tower rescue techniques.

· General construction experience – Asset

· Experience in rope access work, climbing tickets – Asset

· Willingness/availability to work overtime and/or weekends and travel out of town

· Use of mobile devices applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

  • Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • wireless telecommunications: 3 years (preferred)
  • civil construction: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • BC Driver’s License (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (preferred)
