Wireless Telecommunications Rigger / Technician

Responsibilities:

· Building wireless sites on rooftops, lattice towers, guyed towers, and monopoles

· Repair various types and sizes of lines including fibre optic, co-axial and DC power

· Utilize winches, capstan and related hardware to move loads as required.

· Install structural steel, cable tray, conduits, antenna mounts, antennas, transmission lines and ancillary equipment on communication towers

Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year rigging experience in the telecommunication industry; climbing at heights of 100 meters (330 feet)

· Ability to identify and select cables, ropes, blocks, and tackle to install equipment per project requirements.

· Coax and Fiber testing, installation of RRUs and Antennas, Coax termination, DC powerlines, troubleshooting experience – Asset.

· Working knowledge in fall protection practice and procedures and tower life saving techniques

· General construction experience – Asset

· Experience in rope access work, climbing tickets – Asset

· Able to travel

· Use of MS office software, laptop and mobile devices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
