Job Title Wireless Telecommunication Supervisor

Main duties

– Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who install, repair and maintain electrical wiring, civil infrastructure and control devices, telecommunication systems and cablevision systems

– Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments or subcontractors

– Requisition materials and supplies

– Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity

– Train or arrange training of workers

– Ensure our health & safety rules and policies are being followed

– Prepare work progress reports

– Perform site maintenance activities and troubleshoot configuration problems.

– Work with NOC at implementing Fault management, Configuration Management and Performance Management tools.

Experience

– Must have experience with civil construction and full site builds.

– Able to travel throughout Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, Gulf Islands, the Lower Mainland and BC as required.

– Diploma in electronics or telecommunications with 5+ years of relevant experience with wireless cellular networks or other relevant radio frequency experience – Asset

– Mobile equipment operation experience – Asset

– Fibre Optic testing and understanding – Asset

– Knowledge of radio equipment and related accessories (coaxial cables, antennas, repeaters, low noise amplifiers (LNAs), etc.

– Understanding of PIM and Sweep testing to produce accurate test result.

– Understanding of wireless broadband and LTE technology.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:

• wireless telecommunications: 5 years (preferred)
• civil construction: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• BC Driver’s License (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (preferred)
