• Description:* Aston Carter’s client is looking to add a Merchant Retention Specialist to their team for a minimum of a 6-month contract. This contract can extend.

The role is best suited to someone with experience retaining customers (example: Mobile phone contracts, subscriptions services, etc.) You will be required to contact merchants across Canada so this role is best suited to someone living in Alberta. This position will be focused on protecting our clients Canada’s Active Merchant (restaurant) base.

This individual will be responsible for various initiatives focused on overall Merchant retention.

This includes but is not limited to, a) helping our support team save Merchants who have requested deactivation, b) proactively calling Merchants who have been identified as potential churn risks from our operations team (and helping save them from churn), c) submitting Merchant promotions for new acquisitions & d) supporting their manager on various larger scale retention initiatives at DoorDash.

A successful candidate for this role is someone who is extremely proactive, a natural problem solver, willing to go above and beyond to help our Merchants, and be comfortable with ambiguity in their role. They need to be a self-starter, and passionate about helping restaurants find success with using DoorDash. This individual will report to an Associate on the Merchant Selection team. *Top Skills Details:* Customer service,Sales,retention,google suite,slack *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* Must Haves:

• 1-3 years of experience retaining customers in a past role (telecom, subscription based companies)
• Experience working a sales role
• Communication: Strong command of the English Language
• MS Office, Google Suite & Slack experience
• Education: High School Diploma

Nice to Have:

• Industry: Call Centre Experience
• Experience working in the food & beverage industry
• Bilingual French if applying for the bilingual role
• SQL Experience
• Salesforce Experience
