Responsibilities
MaxLinear is looking for a motivated student with a specific interest in communication technology challenges. You will be fully integrated in our development team for passive optical communication (PON) chip-sets and gain hands-on experience in areas such as:
- Simulation of fiber optic systems using MatLab
- Analysis of module implementation concepts for highly integrated communication devices
- Familiarize with communication standards and related test equipment
- Understanding partitioning challenges in modern optical communication systems
The work is suitable for being expanded into a master’s thesis.
Qualifications
- Student of Computer Science, Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering
- Master’s students with a bachelor’s degree in particular are welcome
- Experience with MATLAB, C/C++
- Knowledge in signal processing fundamentals
- Interested to work in a team and eager to learn
- Fluent in English language, German is a plus
- A duration of 6+ months is preferred
