Our client is a national real estate company that owns apartment communities and they are currently seeking an IT Field Specialist to join their team.

Position Overview:

The IT Field Specialist is the hands-on resource for internet connectivity and low voltage-related projects at the company’s apartment communities. You will be involved with various projects in your assigned market for the community technology group. You will also become a subject matter expert for the Internet connected multifamily building systems, music, door access, cameras, and smart package rooms, among others.

Responsibilities of the IT Field Specialist:

• Managing a full schedule of property visits, vendor meetings and conference calls across a specific metropolitan area in support of a variety of projects relating to internet connectivity for systems such as Wi-Fi, entry access, music and security.
• Conducting site surveys.
• Managing vendors during installation of new systems.
• Troubleshooting down systems.

Qualifications of the IT Field Specialist:

• 2 – 3 years experience (5 preferred) in a technical field working with low voltage cabling, installing / maintaining audio-visual systems, building entry systems or Internet service providers.
• Prior project management experience.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or completion of technical courses relating to the telecommunications field is required.
