The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.

Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

JOB SUMMARY

Are you interested in developing your technical skills and learning about the Lottery and Gaming industry? If so, we have a position for you! The Gaming Branch is looking for an energetic and skilled electronics technician to join our team in Supply Chain as a Signs and Fixtures Technician.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Signs and Fixtures, this position is responsible for servicing, maintaining and installing ticket lottery terminals, ticket lottery signage, casino signage, video walls and associated equipment with minimal guidance while ensuring adherence to all Gaming Service, Gaming Business and AGLC policies, procedures and security requirements. This position may provide assistance for the installation, servicing or removals of video lottery terminals, slots or electronic gaming devices. In this role you will be accountable for the organization of materials, space and tools and for the completion of day-to-day field service requirements as assigned. This position will provide product support and guidance to retailers and assist Technical Services with project activities when needed.

To be successful in this role you will need strong technical skills with an understanding of troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of a wide variety of electronic gaming devices and equipment. Excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills are needed to be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced demanding environment to achieve key performance indicators for customer service.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Electronics based Diploma, Certified Engineering Technologist or Telecommunications Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required

Inventory and/or logistics training or practical experience would be an asset

Knowledge of wireless applications, basic electrical wiring and cabling is an asset.

SSIT (Sign Service Installation Technician) certification is an asset.

Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office programs as well as a dispatch/ticketing database (Clientele), Solochain or other inventory management systems is preferred.

A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is required.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move or shift weights ranging from 50 to 300 pounds, up to 1000 pounds, with the use of lift equipment.
