The post holder will be an integral part of a team responsible for the daily operational management, backup and support of the Trusts Voice Network, and its integration with the Trusts Data Network. The Team’s role is the continued development, planning, installation, management and maintenance of the Trusts Voice Network and its integration with the Trusts Data Network necessary to underpin Digital Communications strategy in the support of the Trusts business strategy and its move to a Unified Communications Platform.
The post holder will provide an objective and coordinated response to Telecoms fault finding and reporting whilst providing solutions to maintain a service in the event of system failure.
The post holder will be required to play a lead role in providing value for money solutions to maintain the continually evolving Telecoms infrastructure throughout the Trust whilst
The post holder will communicate effectively with all levels in the Trust and will be required to explain complex technical solutions and information/systems to both technical and non technical users.
The post holder will participate in an on call Telecoms rota to provide support for the Trusts core Telecoms system out of hours.

These solutions include but not limited to; e-observations, team to team communications and handover, patient results, clinical noting and a new clinical workspace.
As recognition of this, the Trust has now been awarded “Global Digital Exemplar” status. As an exemplar site, we will receive up to £7 million and be expected to continue delivering pioneering approaches to digital services and help others in the NHS to learn from our experience.
Alongside investment in technology and infrastructure, the funding will be used to improve training for our staff and will also encourage a new generation of chief clinical information officers (medical, nursing and allied healthcare professionals) to drive forward advances in digital technology.
An experienced NHS Health Informatics professional is now required, or someone looking for a development opportunity, to help us deliver the next phases of our exciting programme and be involved in the Global Digital Exemplar Programme.
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager you will be responsible for the configuration, installation and maintenance of Communications Equipment that will underpin these clinical solutions across all UHBW sites.
