Telecom Lineman – all experience levels

TeraSpan Networks Inc is a full-service telecommunications contractor with locations throughout British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice LINEMAN to join our team.

At TeraSpan, you will be a key member of a network deployment and maintenance team and you have opportunities for training in all facets of telecommunications network construction. At TeraSpan you are not a production type employee, you are a part of a full-service team, and you are critical to the success of the organization.

Primary responsibilities of the line construction team are as follows:

• Pole line construction – installation of messenger strand, anchors, guy lines and poles
• Cable placement – aerial and underground telecommunications cable installation (copper and fiber)
• Wrecking – removal of existing cable, strand, anchors and poles

Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following (please mention when applying):

• 3 years of line construction experience·
• Spur pole climbing experience
• Class 3 license, air brakes and/or heavy trailer endorsement

Required qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent required
• Clean 5 drivers license
• Ability to lift 60lbs
• Ability to work at heights and ability or willingness to learn to climb poles with spurs
• Ability to travel within BC as required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $42,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
