Project Field Coordinator

Reporting to the Civil Manager, the Civil Technician is responsible for entering data, as well as providing administrative and field support for the Whitby civil team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for entering daily time records
• Responsible for entering work orders and conducting follow-ups to handle discrepancies and clarify information as required
• Travel from the main office in Whitby office to any other destinations needed
• Ready to hands on and provide assistance working in the field
• Provide assistance with receiving and tracking locate requests in spreadsheets; request locates through Ontario One-Call; permits to be requested as required; locate packages once completed are printed and provided to the Supervisor
• Communicate via phone and email with Locators, Labourers, customers, and residential customers re: inquiries about locate requests and work plans as required
• Maintain accurate and organized files
• Provide administrative support to the team
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Required skills and habilities :

• Full G license with a good driver abstract
• Construction and HR background

• Minimum High school education required
• Minimum of 1 years previous experience in an administrative position would be an asset
• Physically fit for a construction role
• Expert Microsoft Office proficiency
• Used to work with data entry programs
• Strong team player and ability to lead: self-motivated, proactive thinker, flexible and adaptable
• Ability to manage large work volumes and re-adjust priorities as required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
