Job Detail

As a valued member of the Human Resources Information Technology Team – this position is techno – functional role responsible for leading large and complex enterprise-wide technology projects; planning and managing activities of departmental projects ensuring goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters; carrying out plans and activities pertaining to projects for the enterprise and subsidiaries; ensuring project tasks are completed as scheduled, risks are identified and mitigated and results are reported to management; performing project activities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information and providing consistency in content and “look and feel”; building and leveraging strong relationships with business community and IT to provide technology solutions that address their current and future business needs; leveraging vast functional and technical knowledge of business applications to proactively identify innovative solutions that will significantly elevate capabilities of applications to meet current business needs and prepare for future business demands and conducting complex analysis, design, enhancement and implementation of updates and changes to the HRMS system and supporting applications. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting and implementing Core HR, Recruiting & Onboarding functionality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Data Processing OR 7 years experience to include 5 years HR technology experience working with Cloud Based systems to include the ability to express complex concepts in terms understandable to the customer community. Understanding of how technology and IT affects the HR division and ability to link to business processes.
  • 5 years experience working with workflow analysis, benefit analysis, and procedure development.
  • 5 years experience working with HR systems and/or systems support.
  • 5 year experience using PeopleSoft Query or retrieving stored data from databases using SQR or SQL programming.
  • 3 years experience working in a position utilizing project management skills to include project management methodology; organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
  • Knowledge of company’s business practices and direction, specifically Workday and PeopleSoft, experience in the strategic deployment of HR solutions.
  • Analytical and conceptual skills; research techniques; verbal and documentation skills, including business process, functional, project and operational documentation; Ability to solve problems involving remote and elusive symptoms often spanning multiple areas/functions in HR division.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with peers, team members, management; ability to be a team player, flexible, friendly, congenial and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to be in non-hierarchical organization, operate under dual reporting relationship; and ability to thrive in an unstructured hands-on environment.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience implementing cloud solutions, HCM cloud, AWS, UI and API, SaaS, (e.g., Workday, Oracle)
  • Workday Pro-Certified in Benefits, HCM certified, integration certified, Workday community / Workday Brainstorm participant.
  • Experience with Workday implementation and configuration.
  • Experience with benefits configuration, documentation, and testing.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/ERP PeopleSoft benefit configuration, data conversion, interface and testing.

This role is a telecommute/remote position which be located in any of our 5 BlueCross BlueShield Plans including IL, OK, NM, MT, TX, OR within 250 miles of a core HCSC office location if in a neighboring state such as IN, MI, WI, IA, MO, OK, AR, LA, CO, KS, ID.
