About This Role

The Messaging team are responsible for all Application to Person (A2P) messaging to subscribers on the EE Network. The security and trust in messaging channels, in particular SMS, is pivotal to our customers. The importance of security across messaging channels is even more important than ever, with constantly changing threats and new risks. These threats pose a risk to revenue, future growth and ultimately impact the experience of our customers and their trust in us.

Security is a fast paced and growing industry. You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering the intelligence analysis for messaging channels, working to mitigate and reduce risk.
  • Responsible for write up and presentation of findings and recommended actions to multiple stakeholders, both internal and external including senior leadership, industry bodies and law enforcement agencies.
  • Responsible for the pro-active identification of emerging threats and trends through assessment of incidents and intelligence.
  • Working across teams to share information and intelligence to fully understand threats and mitigate the risk. This applies both internally in BT and externally with relevant partners/customers using relevant intelligence models.
  • Actively participating in industry led working groups and investigations, including MEF, UK Finance and other industry partners to ensure BT is regarded as a leader in security of messaging channels.
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of operational activities to help identify, mitigate, and reduce risks
  • Obtains and maintains Continued Professional Development in relation to the specialist area and intelligence analysis with relevant recognised accreditation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of relevant corporate systems to allow interrogation where required

You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience

  • Experience in handling complex security operations, incidents and investigations
  • Proven history as an intelligence/criminal analyst in the corporate/LE community
  • Understanding of security technologies, techniques, and best practices
  • Ability to implement and conduct associated investigative strategies, tactical planning, interviews, case preparation and presentations as necessary
  • Ability to analyse large and complex amounts of intelligence and information
  • Excellent relationship skills, able to build and maintain relationships at the most senior levels, both externally and internally.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and corporate governance
  • Ability to persuade, influence and motivate others to implement changes where required to minimise future adverse business impact.

This role can be based out of London, Bristol, Manchester or Birmingham, and will operate within BT’s smart working approach to being in the office and working from home. There will be occasional travel required to other offices for meetings.
