Network Analyst – Job Description

The network analyst will be responsible for the End-to-End service provisioning of services on the company’s Low latency environment, and management of finances, inventory, and new technology adoption.

This role covers projects across all streams of infrastructure for telecoms inclusive of client, exchange, and trading platform connectivity primarily for Global Market businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating new connectivity requests within the low latency architecture, covering, but not limited to connectivity for our ICG markets businesses.
• Management of inventory and finances for all new connectivity.
• Ensuring all proposed connectivity adheres to the company’s network strategy.
• Reviewing new technology solutions for feasibility and value.
• Ensuring connectivity utilizes the newest and most applicable technology solutions.
• Project management for larger telecom projects and migrations.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and assisting in their implementation.

Network Analyst – Mandatory Skills

• Understanding of the various B2B telecom solutions (extranet, point to point, cross connects and similar).
• Solid understanding of Co-Location data centers and product offerings.
• Detailed knowledge of the Exchange connectivity environment across all asset classes.
• Strong understanding of Technology Infrastructure environment and Products.
• Experience of financials and budgeting.
• Experience of customer support in a time critical environment.
• Understanding of telecoms and vendor products, especially new products in low latency, cloud and co-lo space.
• Awareness of market data and associated technologies.
• Experience of using Jira
• Ability to work with a wide variety of resources across the group including application development teams, Exchanges, internal network, firewall and production management resources.
