BNPL Product Manager – Communication (m/f/d)

Work from Amsterdam, Berlin, Stockholm or any of our other locations within Europe

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems – consumer and merchant problems – in ways that our users love yet contribute to our business. You will work in a team as a product manager alongside with data analysts, UX specialists, application, and quality assurance engineers.

While engineers ensure the products you develop are feasible and UX will make sure the products are usable it is your responsibility to ensure that what you end up developing is both valuable to our users (they will choose to buy it or use it) and viable for our business (it works for all areas of our business). Once you have settled in, your team will rely on you to bring in the knowledge about the users’ needs as well as insights from all areas of our business including legal, compliance, sales, marketing, and customer support to name a few.

While we empower our teams to develop the solutions needed we also hold them accountable for the results. We are looking for product managers who are excited about having end to end responsibility of their product.

Your key responsibilities:

• You establish an excellent user experience via outbound transactional communication, such as welcome messaging, invoices and friendly reminders
• You will ensure conformity with our new brand identity and define and execute on our communication strategy within the transactional communication. Making sure tens of millions of users have their information and payment related needs conveniently catered for in the channels they desire – when they expect them
• You own our transactional communication channels which currently entail emails, sms, social, chat and paper, and intensely collaborate and support our payment method experience teams to establish best practice communication streams
• You will evaluate this existing communication channel mix and extend it with channels preferred by our users – establishing you as the communication expert that can answer the “Why” for our communication

Your profile:

• You have led technical products and have good understanding of what is driving excellent user experience
• A degree in communication, business or related fields
• Agile thinker with a good understanding of the modern, digital product development and delivery practises
• Commercial mindset – understanding the ways our products can impact a client’s P&L, as well as the commercial drivers of our business
• An intrinsically driven person who takes ownership and turns initiatives into results
• Excellent presentation and communication skills – you get others excited for your vision and eager to present it
• You are fluent in English; German or Dutch is a plus
• Willingness to travel (international) when necessary and possible
